We continue to develop pupils' reading fluency across KS2 through providing many opportunities for children to read aloud. During reading lessons, teachers incorporate a variety of methods such as paired reading, choral reading and echo reading. Children are also given opportunities to read aloud in the wider curriculum for example: reciting poems; reading poems aloud and accompanying them with musical instruments; reading stories to younger children; reading aloud in assemblies; presenting work in class as well as role play and drama opportunities.
